Downtown & Upstairs!
The Ernst Apartment building has been a fixture in Oldtown Oak Harbor since 1940. Unit 204 is one of only two apartments located upstairs, so it is extremely quiet and private.
The upstairs halls are covered with original art, including some from our tenants. If you are an artist, we can arrange for some wall space for you.
Kitchen & Entrance
The entrance to the kitchen reflects the apartment's 1940s design style roots. They don't make beautiful curving arched entrances like that anymore!
The kitchen is all-electric.
Kitchen
The apartment has a nice, bright kitchen with LED task lighting. The cabinetry was custom made to maximize the space. There is a dedicated location for your microwave to keep it off the counter, just visible behind the fridge.
Living Room
The living room faces Pioneer Way. The windows are large and swing outwards to enjoy those nice Oak Harbor summer days. There are a number of street festivals and faires during the year that will occur right outside your windows!
Living Room
Fully carpeted, with electric baseboard heating.
Bedroom Entrance
The door to the bedroom hallway is on the right.
Bedroom Hallway
Looking down the hallway into the bedroom.
Bedroom
The hallway back to the living room and the closet. The bathroom door is at the left.
The hallway area is wide enough for a desk if you want to work at home.
Bedroom
The bedroom has lots of light along with second floor privacy.
Bedroom
From the bedroom, looking back down the hallway towards the living room.
Bath
The bath has a nice large vanity with lots of storage underneath.
Bath
The bath features an oversize shower with custom tile work.
View
The view looking west out the living room window. The apartment is right in the center of Oldtown. The Labor Day Music Festival takes place on Pioneer Way right outside your window.
View
The view looking east out the living room windows.
Parking
True to its 1940 roots, there is no onsite parking at the building. There is plenty of parking available at multiple locations really close to the building though. The building is also very close to the downtown transit hub in Oak Harbor.
Electric Vehicle charging is available at the city lot at the corner of Pioneer and Dock. That's the parking lot circled in green at the bottom of the picture.
Explore The Neighborhood!

It's a great neighborhood: there are a ton of restaurants, a tap room, a wine bar, several pubs, a coffee shop, a bagel shop, and an Italian deli/bakery all within a couple of blocks. No need to drive anywhere!
Check out the Oak Harbor Main Street Association for more info on the downtown area.
